Alan E. Hall has a personal mission to create jobs and lift local economies. As an experienced entrepreneur and investor, he has brought thousands of jobs to countries worldwide over the past three decades.

Most recently, Alan founded Tempus Global Data, an innovative satellite company that operates highly-sophisticated weather instruments with the capability of accurately predicting severe weather and atmospheric changes. For example, giving the public up to 6 hours warning before a tornado will strike. He currently holds the position of CEO. He also founded Grow Utah and Grow America, two non-profit organizations that align the partners, mentors and capital that entrepreneurs need to create and grow tomorrow’s successful companies.

As an investor, Alan served as founder and managing director of Mercato Partners, a top-performing growth equity venture capital fund. Its focus is to invest in high-growth technology companies that need additional funding and expertise in marketing and sales.

Mr. Hall is also the founder, chairman and former CEO of MarketStar Corporation, a global outsourced marketing and sales company with a focus on assisting high-technology companies increase their sales through the small to medium business sectors. The company employs several thousand personnel and generates billions of dollars in sales for its marquee clientele of Hewlett–Packard, Cisco, Sony, Intel, Verizon and others. Marketstar is currently owned by Omnicom Group (OMC).

As a firm believer in community involvement, Alan serves as chairman of Weber State University’s board of trustees, as well as their capital campaign committee. He is also chairman

of both Ogden Pioneer Days Foundation and Prosperity 2020, a business-led movement committed to enhancing Utah’s educational system through investment and innovation.

Alan and Jeanne Hall are chair and president of the Alan and Jeanne Hall foundation. Dedicated to helping the poor improve their quality of life. The foundation motto is that there be no poor among us.

Mr. Hall is an Ernst and Young and Mountain West Capital Network Entrepreneur of the Year recipient. He is also an author, newspaper columnist and frequent public speaker.

William R. Baker

Bill currently serves as Executive Vice President of Business Development on the Tempus Global Data team. After receiving his Bachelor of Science – Soil and Water Conservation from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Bill has spent the last 28 years as a sales and marketing expert in technology sectors. Prior to joining Tempus, Bill was President and Owner of Weather Central, Inc., a Madison, WI based company that was the global leader in weather data and display solutions for the broadcast and media industry.

In 2012, Bill sold his company to Weather Services International (WSI), The Weather Channel Company, and lead the integration and business development in their professional sectors (Energy, Insurance, Media and Aviation). Building and delivering weather solutions that provide actionable intelligence with human and financial benefits to both commercial industries and governments around the world has been key to success. Active in his church, Youth Mentorship and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation provides a balanced platform for success.

Erin Housley
Erin HousleyEVP Operations
Erin Housley has fifteen years of operational experience in high-tech organizations, including MarketStar and Island Park Investments. As the EVP of Operations at Tempus Global Data, she is responsible for the internal support functions and operational management of the organization; leveraging her experience with back end operations to successfully implement strategic plans, corporate development initiatives, employee development and training. Mrs. Housley ensures strategic direction and goals are met through data analytics, project management and predictable execution.

She has served on the Board of Directors for several non-profits, is an active volunteer with Habitat for Humanity and is a proud supporter of Autism Speaks and the Special Olympics.

Scott Jensen
Scott JensenEVP Science and Technology
Dr. Scott Jensen has extensive leadership and technical experience in his 21 years in the Aerospace industry. Prior to his current role, he served as Director of AWS, a not for profit foundation created for the purpose of executing the STORM sensor mission. Prior to AWS, Dr. Jensen was the Division Director for Civil Space Markets at the Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL), as well as Director of Internal Research and Development. While at SDL, he also served as a Lead Engineer, Principal Investigator, Program Manager, Systems Engineer, and other junior level positions as he started his career out of college. In addition, he has served as the Co-Director of the State Center of Excellence in Thermal Management Technologies and he serves on an AIAA Space Systems Technical Committee (SSTC), the AIAA Space and Missiles group Associate Director, and a participant on the Tech America Space Enterprise Council.  While serving on the SSTC Scott was elected President of the technical committee and during that year of tenor, the SSTC received the Technical Committee of the year award from AIAA. Dr. Jensen has built hardware orbiting Mercury on the Messenger instrument, orbiting Mars on the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, and on the surface of Mars on the Curiosity Rover. Dr. Jensen holds a B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Utah State University. His specialty areas of focus are Cryogenics, Heat Transfer, and Thermodynamics.
James Olson
James OlsonEVP Strategic Data Solutions
James Olson has recently been part of the Intelligence and Earth observation unit with Raytheon Company. In that role, he helped to set strategy and direction for a number of government and commercial programs.

Prior to joining Raytheon, Olson served as director of Business Development, Civil and Operations (COS) Space with Ball Aerospace, where he was responsible for strategic market planning and analysis, as well as directing strategy and customer relationships. He previously served for 24 years in the United States Navy, retiring in 2006 as Captain in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense. In this role, he provided overall guidance on information systems in meteorology and oceanography operations, ensuring architectures were consistent with interoperability policies and national requirements. Olson holds a bachelor’s degree in physics from North Texas State University and a dual master’s degree in meteorology and physical oceanography from the Naval Postgraduate School.

Aaron DeRose
Aaron DeRoseEVP Corporate Development
Aaron currently serves as the Executive Vice President of Corporate Development for Tempus Global Data. His responsibilities include fundraising, investor relations, mergers & acquisitions, and all activity related to the capital structure of the Company.

Prior to joining Tempus, Aaron was a Director and Investment Committee member at Mercato Partners, a middle- market private equity fund based in Salt Lake City. At Mercato, Aaron was responsible for raising capital, sourcing new investment opportunities, conducting due diligence, participating on portfolio company boards, and managing investments through exit. During his tenure at Mercato, Aaron served on the following Board of Directors: Skullcandy, Stance, CradlePoint, Goal Zero, and Steelhouse.

Prior to Mercato Partners, Aaron was a Corporate Finance Manager at Quiksilver, Inc. (NYSE: ZQK), where he was responsible for M&A activity, financial reporting, quarterly forecasting and capital budgeting.

Aaron was honored as Top 40 under Forty by Utah Business Magazine. He received his B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Utah and completed an MBA in Finance from Pepperdine University, Graziadio School of Business. Aaron played collegiate volleyball and enjoys racing mountain bikes.

STORM will provide next-generation weather prediction data that will help prevent the loss of human lives and reduce damage to property associated with severe weather. AWS has at its command, resources and expertise which will enable their success and allow them to remain flexible and responsive to a wide variety of business and commercial scenarios.
