Hall is a venture capitalist and a partner with Mercato, a leading national growth capital fund. Additionally, he founded MarketStar, a leading outsourced sales and marketing organization which drives more than $8 billion in revenue for clients each year.

Most recently, Alan founded Tempus Global Data, an innovative satellite company that operates highly-sophisticated weather instruments with the capability of accurately predicting severe weather and atmospheric changes. For example, giving the public up to 6 hours warning before a tornado will strike. He currently holds the position of CEO. He also founded Grow Utah and Grow America, two non-profit organizations that align the partners, mentors and capital that entrepreneurs need to create and grow tomorrow’s successful companies.
As an investor, Alan served as founder and managing director of Mercato Partners, a top-performing growth equity venture capital fund. Its focus is to invest in high-growth technology companies that need additional funding and expertise in marketing and sales.
Mr. Hall is also the founder, chairman and former CEO of MarketStar Corporation, a global outsourced marketing and sales company with a focus on assisting high-technology companies increase their sales through the small to medium business sectors. The company employs several thousand personnel and generates billions of dollars in sales for its marquee clientele of Hewlett–Packard, Cisco, Sony, Intel, Verizon and others. Marketstar is currently owned by Omnicom Group (OMC).
As a firm believer in community involvement, Alan serves as chairman of Weber State University’s board of trustees, as well as their capital campaign committee. He is also chairman
of both Ogden Pioneer Days Foundation and Prosperity 2020, a business-led movement committed to enhancing Utah’s educational system through investment and innovation.
Alan and Jeanne Hall are chair and president of the Alan and Jeanne Hall foundation. Dedicated to helping the poor improve their quality of life. The foundation motto is that there be no poor among us.
Mr. Hall is an Ernst and Young and Mountain West Capital Network Entrepreneur of the Year recipient. He is also an author, newspaper columnist and frequent public speaker.
In 2012, Bill sold his company to Weather Services International (WSI), The Weather Channel Company, and lead the integration and business development in their professional sectors (Energy, Insurance, Media and Aviation). Building and delivering weather solutions that provide actionable intelligence with human and financial benefits to both commercial industries and governments around the world has been key to success. Active in his church, Youth Mentorship and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation provides a balanced platform for success.
She has served on the Board of Directors for several non-profits, is an active volunteer with Habitat for Humanity and is a proud supporter of Autism Speaks and the Special Olympics.
Prior to joining Raytheon, Olson served as director of Business Development, Civil and Operations (COS) Space with Ball Aerospace, where he was responsible for strategic market planning and analysis, as well as directing strategy and customer relationships. He previously served for 24 years in the United States Navy, retiring in 2006 as Captain in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense. In this role, he provided overall guidance on information systems in meteorology and oceanography operations, ensuring architectures were consistent with interoperability policies and national requirements. Olson holds a bachelor’s degree in physics from North Texas State University and a dual master’s degree in meteorology and physical oceanography from the Naval Postgraduate School.
Prior to joining Tempus, Aaron was a Director and Investment Committee member at Mercato Partners, a middle- market private equity fund based in Salt Lake City. At Mercato, Aaron was responsible for raising capital, sourcing new investment opportunities, conducting due diligence, participating on portfolio company boards, and managing investments through exit. During his tenure at Mercato, Aaron served on the following Board of Directors: Skullcandy, Stance, CradlePoint, Goal Zero, and Steelhouse.
Prior to Mercato Partners, Aaron was a Corporate Finance Manager at Quiksilver, Inc. (NYSE: ZQK), where he was responsible for M&A activity, financial reporting, quarterly forecasting and capital budgeting.
Aaron was honored as Top 40 under Forty by Utah Business Magazine. He received his B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Utah and completed an MBA in Finance from Pepperdine University, Graziadio School of Business. Aaron played collegiate volleyball and enjoys racing mountain bikes.
